Organisers of a popular annual charity ploughing match in Cornwall have thanked those who helped to make the event a success.

On Saturday (September 16) members of the public and young farmers across Cornwall came to this year’s Helston and St Keverne's annual Charity Ploughing Match, which this year took place in Mawgan.

Each year, funds raised from the event will go to a charity or charities chosen by the members of the Helston and St Keverne YFC. This year, proceeds will go to male mental health charity, Man Down and The Stem Cell Unit at Royal Cornwall Hospital.

However, the final total of how much was raised has yet to be revealed.

The domestic tent had featured several entries in cookery, handicraft, photography, floristry and farm produce.
