UPDATE October 4, 2023: Police say they have now identified a person they wish to speak to in connection to an incident in Camborne on Monday.

It is after Devon and Cornwall Police shared a series of CCTV images of the person. 

A force spokesperson said: "Thank you for sharing our appeal and to members of the public who got in touch with information."


POLICE are appealing to the public to help identify a man they wish to speak to in connection with a knifepoint robbery. 

The incident took place at Mr W’s Eats & Treats on Pendarves Street in Tuckingmill at 2.40pm on Monday, October 2, following a report that a man had entered the premises in possession of a knife and made threats.

According to Devon and Cornwall Police, the man left on foot in the direction of North Roskear when a member of the public intervened.

The man was dressed in a dark green hooded coat, black jogging bottoms and black and white Puma Anzarun trainers.

Members of the public are being urged to call police if they have any information. 

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify a man in connection with a knifepoint robbery in Camborne on Monday 2 October.

"Police were called to ‘Mr W’s Eats & Treats’ on Pendarves Street in Tuckingmill at 2.40pm following a report that a man had entered the premises in possession of a knife and made threats. He left on foot in the direction of North Roskear when a member of the public intervened.

"Officers are appealing to identify the man pictured as it’s believed he may have information which could assist our enquiries.

"The male we’re looking to identify was wearing a dark green hooded coat, black jogging bottoms and black and white Puma Anzarun trainers.

"Please call police with information on 101, or via our website here, quoting log 463 of 2 October."
