POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a collision near Camborne on Thursday, leaving two drivers with life-threatening injuries.

The collision which took place on the B3303 north of Praze-an-Beeble involved two vehicles; a Volvo and a Honda.

Emergency services attended the scene, and both of the drivers – a man in his 70s in the Volvo and a woman in her 60s in the Hona, were taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The road was closed for several hours, while police carried out an investigation, and members of the public were thanked by the police for their patience during the closure.

A force spokesperson said: “Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after two people sustained life-threatening injuries in a collision on the B3303 north of Praze-an-Beeble, near Camborne.

“It happened at around 1.15pm on Thursday 26 October and involved two vehicles; a Volvo and a Honda.

“Emergency services attended the scene where the drivers of both vehicles – a man aged in his 70s in the Volvo and a woman aged in her 60s in the Honda - needed urgent medical treatment. Both were taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

“The road was closed for several hours while police carried out an investigation at the scene.  Members of the public have been thanked for their patience during the closure.
