Police are trying to identify a man in connection with a number of thefts in Camborne after a wallet was lost in an Aldi car park.

The card was lost around lunchtime on September 11 and soon after it was used three times to buy beer and tobacco at local shops.

CCTV captured images of a man they want to talk to in connection with the thefts and appealed to members of the public to help identify him.

In its appeal Devon and Cornwall Police said they hoped the man might be able to assist them with their enquiries.

It said: "Police are seeking the public’s help to identify this man in connection with a series of thefts in Camborne.

"The thefts happened after a man lost his wallet in the car park of Aldi around lunchtime on 11 September. A short time later his bank card was used three times to buy beer and tobacco within local shops.

"Officers are investigating and would like to identify the man pictured as he may be able to help police with their enquiries.
