A Mawgan man charged with three counts of rape and one of grievous bodily harm with intent has appeared before Truro magistrates.
Ryan Mitchell, aged 31, from Mawgan near Helston appeared at Truro Magistrates’ Court on Monday, October 30.
He is charged that in 2017 he raped a woman over 16.
He is also charged with the rape of a woman 16 years of age or over sometime between June 2021 and January 2022 and rape of a woman 16 years of age or over sometime between December 2016 and May 2017.
He is further charged with a Section 18 offence - grievous bodily harm with intent, which is alleged to have happened at a Cornwall rugby club in April 2022, by unlawfully and maliciously causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
Mitchell entered no plea and was sent to Truro Crown Court on conditional bail. The next hearing in the crown court is on December 1, 2023 for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
