Falmouth and Helston Police have issued a warning to homeowners in Falmouth after several reported burglaries in the town in the last fortnight.

The force says there have been several burglaries to insecure properties where a door was left insecure and they are asking people make sure their homes are secure to prevent opportunist thieves.

They say burglars have entered people’s homes and taken things and on one occasion an unsecure shed from which tools were stolen.

Items stolen from homes include food and small pieces such as headphones.
