A leading local developer has helped fund a life-saving Cornwall Air Ambulance mission.

The generous £5,000 contribution comes from prominent local developer, Persimmon Homes Cornwall & West Devon, who kindly matched the price of an average air ambulance call-out.

Operating in the area 19 hours daily, 365 days a year, the charity undertakes approximately one thousand missions annually.

The aircrew can reach any mainland Cornwall location within 20 minutes, usually achieving this within a swift 12 minutes, and can access the Isles of Scilly in half an hour.

Jane Cartwright, the Sales Director of Persimmon Homes Cornwall & West Devon, explained: "Cornwall Air Ambulance is a charity that is close to my heart, but is also much-loved across the county, so we were delighted to be able to support them with our donation.

"It is heartening to know that it will fund a life-saving trip for someone in Cornwall."

Julia Jeffrey, Corporate Fundraising Officer of Cornwall Air Ambulance, expressed gratitude and outlined the value of these donations, expressing: "We are very grateful to Persimmon for their generous donation, which will undoubtedly help more families in their time of need.

"Every penny donated helps to keep the crew flying to patients who need us the most across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly."
