Christmas will get underway in Helston this weekend when Father Christmas makes a visit for special storytelling sessions.

The Lakeside Café, at Coronation Park, is hosting Santa over two weekends, with families able to hear a story, take part in a trail and make a Christmas wish for the grotto.

Sessions will be taking place this Saturday and Sunday, and again on the weekend of December 2 and 3.

Although entry is free, to make it possible for everyone to attend, there is a suggested donation of £2 for those that are able, with all the money raised going to Helston Town Band.

Fifteen-minute slots available to reserve between 2pm and 4pm on each of the days, with people asked to arrive at least five minutes before their start time.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

There is already a lot of interest, with some sessions already fully booked, and families keen to attend are encouraged to reserve their places as soon as possible.
