A councillor in Cornwall pulled no punches when he dubbed a fly-tipper an “utter w***er” on his Facebook page this week.
James Mustoe, the Conservative councillor for Mevagissey and St Austell Bay, made the his feelings known when warning people in his division and further afield about a huge amount of commercial waste which had been illegally dumped in the middle of a road near the Lost Gardens of Heligan.
The rubbish includes a fridge, washing machine, oven and rubber tyres. He pointed out that the stupid act could have caused a serious accident.
Cllr Mustoe posted just before 10pm on Tuesday night: “Fly-tipping rant! Some utter w***er has tipped a van-load of commercial waste all over the one way road from the approach road to Heligan down to the old road up to Tregiskey.
"Apart from fly-tipping being illegal, this is completely blocking this narrow, rural unlit road and could cause a serious accident.”
He reported the incident to Cornwall Council for clearance and asks if anyone has information about the perpetrator to contact the local authority and quote reference number 101006796893.

He told the Local Democracy Reporting Service on Thursday (November 23): “I’ve had several pieces of intel come back to me about where it may have come from, etc, which I have passed back to the relevant folk.
"I’ve spoken to Biffa and apparently they are en route to clear it this morning, which is within the 48 hours that they have to clear fly-tipping once it is reported.”
