Plans have been submitted for nine houses, access and an estate road, drainage and landscaping on land to the east of a motor showroom in Summercourt, near Newquay.

The site is accessed off New Row, which provides the main route to the village centre from the A30. A planning statement says: “From the outset, the principal objective has been to deliver nine much-needed open market housing for the local community.

"Identifying the need for housing, the St Enoder Parish Neighbourhood Plan supports the delivery of approximately 150 new homes between 2018 and 2030 which this scheme will contribute to.”

There would be five detached four-bed properties and four semi-detached three-bed houses. Two parking spaces per dwelling would be provided through private on-plot parking and on-street parking.

The Shipwrights Arms at Helford has applied to install decking and screens. The works involve the installation of a timber-style decking system over the existing concrete roof, with timber upstand screens.

The area of the work is a new build construction featuring four bedrooms with parking above. The work requires listed building consent.
