UPDATE 1.45PM, NOVEMBER 27: Police have confirmed that Simon Hildred, who had been reported missing from the St Austell area on Wednesday, November 22, has been found safe by police.

A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: "We would like to thank members of the public for their help."


POLICE are growing reportedly concerned for the welfare of a 58-year-old man who has been reported missing from the St Austell area.

Simon Hildred was last seen in Truro on Saturday, November 4, and was reported missing on Wednesday, November 22. 

Simon is described as being a white male of slim build and five foot 10 inches tall and is believed to be in the St Austell or Truro areas.

Anyone who may have seen Simon or have information on his whereabouts is urged to contact police immediately. 

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of 58-year-old Simon Hildred, who has been reported missing from the St Austell area.

"Simon was last seen in the Truro area at around on Saturday 4 November and was reported missing on Wednesday 22 November.

"He is described as a white male of slim build. He is 5ft 10in tall.

"He is believed to be in the St Austell or Truro areas.

"If you have seen Simon, or know of his whereabouts, please call police immediately on 999, quoting log number 511 of 22/11/23."
