CORNWALL Council is appealing for help to reunite five lost dogs with their owners.
The dogs were found in different areas of the county and have been taken into the council's kennels.
The council is asking anyone who has lost a dog to check their website to see if their pet is one of the ones they have found.
The dogs are:
- A crossbreed, black colour with white on chest, found in Hayle.
- A liver-coloured cocker-spaniel, found in St Austell.
- A black and white collie cross, found on Covenant Close in Saltash.
- A Japanese Akita found in a back lanes area of Bodwen.
If you believe one of the dogs listed above is your dog, you can contact Cornwall Council on 0300 1234 212.
If you've lost your dog and don't think it's listed above, you can call Cornwall Council on: 0300 1234 212 to register your dog missing. Cornwall Council will take your details so they can contact you if they receive a report related to your dog.
Microchipping is a legal requirement for all dogs in England, Wales and Scotland. It is widely regarded as the best way to identify a lost dog and reunite it with its owner.
