The market at the Padstow Christmas Festival has been named among the top 11 Christmas markets in the UK by National Geographic.
The festival boasts an unmatched line-up of local and celebrity chefs, a Christmas market featuring more than 100 traders, live music, fireworks, and carol singing, along with a plethora of community events.
Festival founder and organiser, Tina Evans, said: "A particular Festival highlight for many of our visitors, and for the chefs themselves, is our Chef Forum happening on Saturday 9th at 12 noon, in the Sharp’s Chefs Theatre."
This year's forum will broach the topic of the hospitality industry as a viable career choice for the upcoming generation.
Famous culinary faces including Rick Stein, Matthew Fort, Valentine Warner and Tracy Hart from The Prince’s Trust will weigh in on the discussion.
The festival contributes approximately £5 million annually to Padstow’s economy.
Ms Evans added: "We’re very proud that the Padstow Christmas Festival supports Cornish tourism, encouraging visitors to come to our region during the winter, contributing to our local economy and supporting jobs - it really has become an essential out-of-season event."
British actor Alistair Petrie, famous for his roles in Star Wars, Sex Education and Cloud Atlas, will appear in a chef demonstration on Sunday 10th December at 1pm.
Ms Evans said: "We are expecting around 50,000 people to join us in Padstow for what is going to be a long weekend of once-in-a-lifetime moments and memories.
"The Padstow Christmas Festival is built around the love of food, with the Chefs all giving up their time freely to attend - they’re all there because they want to share their passion."
Sharp’s Brewery, which is the headline sponsor of the festival for 2023, will be enhancing visitors’ experiences with a Silent Bistro.
Guests are equipped with headphones to watch top chefs at work, cooking and pairing dishes with the brewery’s award-winning beers.
Padstow was listed among the likes of Stratford-upon-Avon Victorian Christmas Market and Birmingham Frankfurt Christmas Market.
