A town council owned house with dead quiet neighbours has been put out for “expressions of interest” on the rental market.

The three bedroomed detached house at the top entrance to Falmouth Cemetery is being offered on an assured shorthold tenancy of £1,050 per month by the town council.

Cemetery House is at the entrance to the top part of the cemetery in Pennance Road. The cemetery is renowned for its nature and is a designated wildlife site, and of course has very quiet neighbours.

The move to rent the property comes as many people struggle to find somewhere to live and the property would make a lovely family home.

In a post on Facebook Falmouth Town Council said: “Expressions of interest are invited for Cemetery Lodge at 28 Pennance Road, Falmouth which will be available from January 2, 2024. Deadline for expressions of interest is for midday Friday, December 8, 2023. A deposit of £1050 is needed.

“All expressions of interest should be emailed to: facilities@falmouthtowncouncil.com or handed in at Falmouth Town Council Information Services Desk, The Old Post Office, The Moor, Falmouth, TR11 3QA for the attention of Andy Medlin, Facilities Manager, by midday on Friday, December 8, 2023.”
