A cyclist has been taken to hospital following a collision with a car in Helston today (Friday).
The police were called to the main road past RNAS Culdrose leading towards the Lizard Peninsula today following reports of a collision between a car and a cyclist at 11.20am.
Ambulance crews were also on the scene.
A male cyclist sustained injuries and has been taken to Royal Cornwall Hospital. However, the severity of his injuries is not yet known.
The road was closed whilst emergency services attended the scene, however, it is reported that the road has now reopened.
A police spokesperson told the Packet: “Officers were called around 11.20am today, 8 December, following a collision between a car and a cyclist on A3083 [our log just says Helston].
“Ambulances are also in attendance.
“The male cyclist has sustained injuries [severity not yet known] and has been taken to Treliske Hospital.”
