A festive motorcycle run that took place in Cornwall on Sunday has raised more than £500 for charity.

To raise money for Guide Dogs for the Blind, the riders travelled through various towns and villages across the Duchy dressed as Father Christmas with plenty of support from members of the public as they watched them go by.

In previous months, the crew have organised several fundraising events for various charities. However, in August, they raised £3,800 for Man Down and £3,000 for Cornwall Air Ambulance.

The rider's journey began in Camborne on Sunday (December 17). They then proceeded through Tuckingmill, Blowinghouse Hill, and Redruth through Burras and Wendron before stopping off at The Cornish Oven on Clodgey Lane in Helston.

Following the successful run, JoJo told the Packet: “We had a fantastic day, it went well, with no problems or accidents and we all made it to the finish line.

“We raised £529.67 and a lady from the Guide Dogs charity who was there when we set off also had £40 odd in her bucket too!”

JoJo said: “Our plan next year is to try and do the same for more local issues.

“We hope to raise funds for people needing electric wheelchairs and bed hoists or to help fund operations.”
