An award-winning Cornwall chef has announced the release of his first cookbook.

Michelin star chef Paul Ainsworth will launch his debut collection of over 100 recipes this summer.

Despite featuring before in the Padstow Festival Cookbook, this will be Paul's first independent publication, marking a milestone in his illustrious culinary career.

On the Fuelling Around podcast, the television personality spoke about his excitement.

He said: "It’s over 100 recipes and is with an amazing publisher, Harper Collins."

Paul was on the show to discuss the love of cars, but also spoke extensively about his journey in becoming one of the UK's top chefs.

Paul Ainsworth also discussed his experiences under renowned chefs Gary Rhodes and Gordon Ramsey, and competing with Rick Stein in Padstow.

Paul has a number of venues around Cornwall, including his flagship restaurant Paul Ainsworth at No 6 in Padstow. Run by chef patron Chris McClurg, it has won multiple awards, including being named by TripAdvisor as one of the best restaurants globally, and the second best in the UK in October.

Above No 6 is cocktail bar Ci Ci's Bar.

In the same town is Padstow Townhouse, as well as Caffè Rojano by Paul Ainsworth.

Together with his wife Emma, Paul relaunched The Mariners pub in Rock, Cornwall in May 2019, which is joined by The Mariners Beach Club during the summer.

Paul also has his own academy at Truro and Penwith College, training the next generation of chefs.

In September last year Paul was named AA Chefs' Chef of the Year at the prestigious AA Hospitality Awards 2023, hosted by TV presenter Claudia Winkleman.

Originally hailing from Southampton, Paul studied catering and hospitality at his local college and was soon working in some of London's best kitchens, starting in 1998 with Gary Rhodes. He later worked with Gordon Ramsay and Marcus Wareing.

After eight years in London, Paul moved to Padstow to work at No 6, and fell in love with Cornwall.
