Mayor of Camborne Zoe Fox joined Cornwall members of the Military Vehicle Trust as they took their vehicles out for a spin to raise money for the Royal British Legion (RBL).

A convoy of historical vehicles, including five Jeeps and a 1943 GMC Tractor Unit, sparked smiles and donations along their journey.

Organiser Ben Davis said: "We are back, bigger and better than ever".

With stops at Portreath 'WAAF' site and the village church, their procession continued toward Illogan Church War Memorial, marking their respect by laying a poppy wreath.

The vehicles then made their way to the Roscroggan Memorial in Camborne Parish, where local RBL chairman Steve Nichols and standard bearer Alan Millard greeted them.

Mayor Fox paid tribute to the WW2 Air crew, laying another poppy wreath in commemoration of their sacrifice.
