One of the busiest roads out of Helston town centre will be temporarily closed off to traffic next month.
Cornwall Council have revealed today (January 12) that Wendron Street will be closed off to traffic on February 22, 2024, between the hours of 8.30am and 4.30pm.
According to the council, the road closure has been put in place to allow network communications provider Openreach to undertake essential maintenance works.
A picture shared by Cornwall Council shows the road will be closed from the bottom of Wendron Street between the Meneage Street junction and will end just before the turning for Shute Hill. Godolphin Road will not be affected by the road closure.
Pedestrian and vehicle access to residents and businesses in the area will continue to be maintained throughout the works.
However, with the one-way road being particularly busy at school drop-off and pick-up times, the council have said that an alternative route for drivers will be signposted at the scene.
