Falmouth Town FC wants to make history next month but need help to fund a flight to its next away game in Jersey as part of the FA Vase Cup.

The club is through to the last 16 of the cup for non-professional teams and has a loyal following known as the F-Troop which they want to be able to fly to the crucial match.

It says the troop want to be able to support the club at the game and have the opportunity to hire a plane to fly straight to Jersey from Newquay.

However they need to raise £2,500 to pay for it.

“The F - Troop need your help,” says fundraiser organiser Jeffery Chambers. “They want to support our home club in Jersey and have the opportunity to hire a plane to fly straight to Jersey from Newquay.

“While not cheap it could be affordable if they can raise extra funds via their Crowdfunder. If you can spare a few quid to help these loyal, local people please give whatever you can.”

The club has organised a chartered flight to take the F Troop to Jersey on the February 10, 2024 to get as many fans there as possible. However they say prices have tripled on the day of the match due to the interest it has generated.

“This is a massive game for Falmouth Town the 5th round of the FA Vase three wins from Wembley,” says Mr Chambers. “Imagine Cornwall football fans all heading for Wembley in the final. The reason we organised a chartered flight is that flight costs were tripled on the day of the match due to the volume of our interest.

“We are the 12th man cheering on our team.

“Any donation towards this cost would be greatly appreciated and help to get our Falmouth Towns fans to the game. Let’s make history!”

Every year the F-Troop raise thousands of pounds for charity and are now looking for help themselves to get to the match.

Any donation towards the cost would be greatly appreciated and help to get our Falmouth Towns fans to the game.
