Truro entrepreneur Phil Chrysandrea is celebrating the third anniversary of local business Kitchen Makeovers.

Since its launch in January 2021, the sustainable kitchen renovations company grew rapidly, extending operations into Plymouth in 2023.

Last year alone, it revamped more than 70 local kitchens.

Mr Chrysandrea is focussed on building on this momentum, expanding the business' footprint and fostering more community engagement.

The London-born entrepreneur landed in Truro in 2008, but when the recession wiped out his job prospects, he ventured into environmental-friendly and sustainable business.

Fast forward to today, Phil Chrysandrea is at the helm of a prospering company, making notable strides into 2024.

Falmouth Packet: Since its launch in January 2021, the sustainable kitchen renovations company grew rapidly

He shared his experiences and future aspirations saying: "It was definitely a bit of a shock when I first moved here.

"But now, I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else.

"I love what I do, and I think that comes across when working with the community.

"I’ve made a lot of progress in the three years since I launched, but I’m still really excited for the future.

"You get what you work for in Cornwall, I think that’s why I like it here so much."

Kitchen Makeovers identified a niche in home renovations.

The dynamic company reduces waste by refurbishing existing kitchen units, replacing outdated key elements instead.

Discarding conventional showrooms, it incorporates effective technology to streamline customer experiences and drastically reduce its carbon footprint.

Phil Chrysandrea asserted that this unique model contributed significantly to the business's triumph.

He said: "I’m a people person, I love interacting with my clients, especially in their own homes.

"You can have a detailed discussion about all the different options, and I’m able to give the customer an idea of what their kitchen will look like before work even starts - it works brilliantly for me and the community."

Surmounting numerous obstacles, including launching the business amidst a national lockdown, Kitchen Makeovers has marked its three-year milestone as a promising name in home renovations across Cornwall.

This unique enterprise of sustainable and personalised kitchen renovations continues to serve its expanding customer base.
