TWO men from Cornwall have been jailed for offences that include creating indecent images of children and actual bodily harm. 

The offenders were among defendants sentenced in courts in Devon and Cornwall between Monday 15 and Friday 19 January 2024.

First on the list was Revan Wilde, aged 22, of no fixed abode in Camborne, appeared at Truro Crown Court on Friday, January 19, for three counts of making indecent images of children and failure to comply with notification requirements.

The offences took place in May 2022 and October 2023 in Camborne, and included four Category A still images, 24 Category A moving images of a child, four Category B still images and seven Category B moving images of a child, and nine Category C still images of a child. 

Wilde also failed without reasonable excuse to comply with the notification requirements by failing to notify police within seven days whilst being of no fixed abode. 

During his sentencing, Wilde was handed down a sentence of 72 weeks in prison. 

Next on the list was James Hitchings, aged 30 from St Mawes, who appeared at Truro Crown Court on Tuesday, January 16, for strangulation, actual bodily harm, and breach of a restraining order and suspended sentence.

The offences took place between August and October 2023 in Holsworthy in Devon where Hitchings assaulted a female victim causing her actual bodily harm and caused criminal damage to her mobile phone. 

During his sentencing, Hitchings was given a period of imprisonment of three years and three months.
