A British pottery brand and publisher will be gifting collectible mugs and a selection of literary gems that celebrate the cultural heritage of Cornwall on Random Acts of Kindness Day.

On February 17, Cornishware and Virago Books will give away ten special gift bundles, each containing a striped Cornishware mug and a timeless work by author, Daphne du Maurier.

These will be scattered throughout Cornwall for residents to find, with clues leading finders on a treasure hunt around some of the Duchy's most treasured spots.

Rebecca Rickards, brand and marketing director at Cornishware, said: "We are excited to team up with Virago Books for this special initiative on Random Acts of Kindness Day.

"Cornwall holds a special place in our hearts, and we wanted to bring a touch of joy to the community.

"By combining our iconic Cornishware mugs with the literary treasures of Daphne du Maurier, we hope to make people smile and celebrate our Cornish connections."

Each coloured, stripy mug will match the jacket colour of the ten Virago Modern Classics designer collection hardbacks.

Popular titles include Rebecca, Jamaica Inn, Frenchman's Creek and My Cousin Rachel.

Cornishware will share hints and clues throughout the day on their Instagram page for followers.

Each clue will lead closer to the hidden spots around the county, where the Cornishware and Virago Books gift bundles await discovery.

Random Acts of Kindness Day encourages individuals and organisations to make the world a better place through small, thoughtful actions.
