People are being strongly warned to stay away from a beach in Cornwall after a substantial cliff fall there.
The huge fall happened at Porthtowan Beach yesterday afternoon at around 1.30pm
St Agnes Coastguard were called out to the scene and cordoned off the pathway above the cliff with no-one allowed along it. They 'strongly advised' people to stay away from the area on the beach keeping a distance equal to the height of the cliff.
Posting on Facebook they said the cliff was very unstable and they expected more falls in the coming days or weeks.

"We have cordoned off the cliff path above the fall, and we strongly advise all beach users stay at least the height of the cliff away e.g. if a cliff is 20 metres high, a distance of 20 metres should be kept.
"This cliff is very unstable and we expect more will fall within the next few days or weeks.
"Please stay clear of the area on Porthtowan beach‼️ If a cliff fall does occur and you suspect that someone has been injured, call 999 immediately. Do not explore recent cliff falls as there is a risk of further falls."
