The council is warning drivers of possible delays in Helston today (February 15).

More traffic lights have been put in place at the bottom of Trengrouse Way (otherwise known as The Parade) for works to be taken out by the National Grid.

According to the roadworks portal on the Cornwall Council website, the two-way traffic control lights were put in place this morning at 9am and will remain there until 23.59pm on Wednesday, February 28.

These are the second set of traffic lights currently in place in Helston. For the last few months, road works have been taking place on Meneage Road leaving drivers facing significant delays during peak times.

With both sets of traffic lights in place, the council is warning drivers of possible delays in and around the area throughout the next couple of weeks.

There will also be more delays from February 28, when further work will be taken out on another busy road in Helston.

The council revealed last month that Wendron Street will be closed off to traffic on February 22, 2024, between the hours of 8.30am and 4.430pm to allow network communications provider Openreach to undertake essential maintenance works.
