A series of virtual events for home schooled students will shed light on the opportunities available through The Cornwall College Group (TCCG).

The online events are scheduled for March 9 and May 13 in the evening.

They provide information about the available Elective Home Education (EHE) programmes at the TCCG campuses across Devon and Cornwall.

David Atkinson-Beaumont, corporate lead for EHE at TCCG, said: "We have seen fantastic success with our EHE programme this academic year and we’re really excited to roll out the offer again for September."

He emphasised the college’s commitment to better equip home scholars, mentioning the provision of industry specialist equipment and staff.

Mr Atkinson-Beaumont continued: "Our focus is to provide home educated learners with access to industry specialist equipment and staff, enhancing their home education with a full college qualification".

Additionally, they are seeking Year 11 students passionate about pursuing their subjects at the TCCG campuses.

The programmes cover an array of vocational courses such as animal care, art & design, childcare, and engineering.

TCCG students enjoy full access to college facilities, including Learning Resource Centres, career education advice and guidance—all ultimately leading to a smooth transition into further education, apprenticeships, and employment.
