Helston drivers are being warned of further delays following an announcement from the council this week.
Cornwall Council has announced that Church Street will be completely shut down to traffic from March 4 to March 12 to allow Wildanet to carry out essential fibre connection works.
The closure will be in effect 24 hours a day, including weekends, and will span the entire length of Church Street, starting from the junction with Church Lane and ending at the top traffic lights heading into town.
A spokesperson from Cornwall Council said: “This prohibition is necessary for fibre connection works, and it is expected that the closure will be from March 4 to March 12.
“An alternative route will be signed on site. Pedestrian access will be maintained to properties.”
