Children in Cornwall and the south west are being offered the chance to design and create their own dream dessert dish as part of St Austell Brewery’s new children’s menu launching in May.

The culinary competition will see two lucky children invited to St Austell Brewery to create their dish, which will then be included on the menu and rolled out across a selection of the pub estate’s 44 managed houses across the South West.

Lewis Allington, head of food at St Austell Brewery, said: “We want to know what the next generation of foodies want to see on our menus, and what better way of doing that, than asking them to create it.

“Our food development team will choose the most inventive and tasty desserts, with the winners coming into our development kitchen at St Austell Brewery to create, taste and put the desserts together. They’ll then get to see their dessert featured on the menu in our managed pubs!”

The winners will be chosen on the April 5 and invited to St Austell brewery on April 12 to bring their food idea to life. Each winner can bring along a friend to try their delicious creation.

The winners and their families will also be invited to dine at one of St Austell Brewery’s pubs to see their creation on the menu.
