UPDATE April 15, 2024: Police say they have located 33-year-old Jamie Monteith from Redruth, who was wanted in connection with reports of an assault.

Officers would like to thank the public for their support.

Police are on the hunt for a man with "distinctive" face tattoos who they want to speak to. 

They say Jamie Monteith is wanted in connection with reports of an assault.

Inquiries have been made by Devon and Cornwall Police to locate him and officers are now appealing to the public for information on his whereabouts.

They hope that with the public's help they will be able to trace the 33-year-old, who is from the Redruth area.

Monteith is described as being 5ft 10ins tall, of stocky build. He is a white male, with brown eyes and dark short cropped hair.

He is also said to have "distinctive" tattoos that are on his face. 

Monteith was last seen in Pool, Cornwall on Monday last week, March 18.

He also has links to the Weston-super-Mare area.

A force spokesperson said: "Anyone who sees Monteith is asked not to approach him, but to call police on 999, quoting log number 460 of 18 March.
