Bus users are being advised of changes to bus routes and timetables in Cornwall starting from this week.

Transport for Cornwall (TFC) has emphasised that adjustments to routes across the Duchy are needed to enhance reliability and address passenger feedback.


The changes have now come into force. Details regarding the specific modifications are available below:

The Tinner (T1, T2)

A revised timetable will be introduced to improve punctuality.  Some journeys will be extended beyond Truro to St Austell partly replacing service 27. 

Some T2 journeys will be renumbered T3 and operate the same route as the T2 between St Ives and Truro then will continue to Newquay partly replacing service 91. Go Cornwall Bus operated journeys will remain unchanged.

T2a (New)  

New Service operating between St Ives and Hayle. This will replace the Sunseeker service that operated in summer 2023.  Note the start date will be Sunday, May 26. 

T3

New Service running between St Ives and Newquay via Camborne, Redruth, Truro

Coast to coast (U1, U1A) 

Revised timetable with through journeys at Truro reintroduced. Towards Newquay in Newquay Town Centre buses will operate along Trenance Road instead of Edgcumbe Avenue and Narrowcliff. 

The U1 in Goonhavern will operate along the B3285 and Scotland Road serving Monkey Tree holiday park.

U1e (New) 

New service replacing evening journeys on U1a.  This service will also operate along the B3285 and Scotland Road serving Monkey Tree holiday park.

Cornwall Copper (U2) 

A revised timetable will be introduced. 

U3 and U4

A revised timetable will be introduced. 

2 2A (Stagecoach) 

Refer to www.stagecoachbus.com for information. 

5 and 5A 

No planned changes. 

The Mousehole

A revised timetable will be introduced with all journeys serving Alverton Estate. 

The CAT (New) 

New Summer Service starting Sunday 26th May complimenting The Mouse! 

A larger vehicle will operate on this service and will run between Penzance and Mousehole, Coastguard Hotel directly via Western Promenade Road.

6 and 6A

Minor punctuality-based timetable amendments. Withdrawal of 16:53 departure from Bude.

Revised timetable proposed to increase running times during peak periods. Some journeys will operate earlier or later than the current timetable

Revised timetable proposed to increase running times during peak periods.
Journeys operating between Wadebridge and Bodmin Parkway only will mainly operate via A389 Priory Road to serve Morrisons & Aldi stores.

Some evening journeys will operate through Latchbrook in Saltash.

12 and 12A 

Revised timetable proposed to increase running times during peak periods. Some journeys will operate earlier or later than the current timetable.

Some evening journeys will operate through Latchbrook in Saltash to replace withdrawn Stagecoach service 2A. 12A 1510 departure from Callington CC has revised running times.

16 and 16A 

School Day journeys on 16A have revised running times. 

17

Service extended to St Just and Pendeen replacing Tin Coaster.  This service will also serve Heamoor providing a 30-minute service with service 17a.

17a (New) 

New service replacing service 19 in Madron. 

18 (now 17E)

Journeys operated by GCB will be renumbered 17E.  Journeys operated by GCB will be renumbered 17E.

The morning journey to/from Pendeen on Monday to Friday is withdrawn and will be operated by First Kernow (FK). 

The Tin Coaster 

Withdrawn and replaced by service 17.

Withdrawn and replaced by 17/17a.
