The detached building has views of Mounts Bay from its secluded location in Fore Street, Newlyn – and is now up for auction with a freehold guide price of £230,000-plus.

Known as The Old Quarry Office, it has eight rooms on its ground floor and a large open plan room with a door to a flat roof area on its first floor.

It formerly served Penlee Quarry and the office site extends to about 0.09 hectares (0.23 acres).

It is among 149 lots listed in the latest auction being held by Clive Emson Land and Property Auctioneers.

Situated in Vernon Place, it has views across Carrick Roads and is going under the auctioneer’s gavel with a freehold guide of £15,000-plus.

The land is described as being in “a residential location with far-reaching harbour views.”

A spokesperson said: "A parcel of land situated in the sought-after coastal town of Falmouth, being located in among residential properties and boasting superb harbour views. Any future use will be subject to all necessary consents being obtainable.
