Team members of Outback Trading are embarking on a new chapter following changes in the business.

The outdoor clothing and equipment shop based behind the Tyacke Road Car Park in Helston is being taken over by Outback Trading Ltd, marking the start of a fresh and exciting chapter for the business.

It comes following the retirement of Ian and Carol Robinson, who have led the business for the past six years.

Although the couple are stepping back, Ian will continue to lend his consultant expertise, ensuring a smooth transition.

Allison Pain will now be in charge of retail operations and said she wants to ensure customers have an "invigorating" shopping experience.

Along with members of the team, Melanie and Natalie Pain and Hayley James, she is looking forward to unveiling the shop's latest spring and summer collection for 2024.

Allison’s daughters Melanie and Natalie are also both looking forward to their new roles at Outback.

Melanie said: “We are looking forward to the transition from the shop floor to IT and website roles, which will offer us new challenges and opportunities to grow our skills in a new area.”

Hayley, who has worked at Outback Trading for a number of years, said she is looking forward to helping customers old and new explore the new range.

The team has also welcomed Nick Myers to Outback Trading to lead the digital operations. His first order of business was a comprehensive overhaul of the Outback Trading website, to enhance user accessibility.
