A FOOTBALL fan has been banned after being drunk and having a flare at a stadium during a game.
Anthony Morley, 43, of Sandway, in Leeds was given a three-year Football Banning Order (FBO) at Blackburn Magistrates' Court last Wednesday, for being drunk in a sports ground and being in possession of a flare/firework at a sporting event.
He pleaded guilty to both offences at an earlier hearing.
Court records show that Morley was "drunk in a designated sports ground at a time during the period of a designated sporting event at that ground", on December 9 last year, in Blackburn.
This was the same day Leeds United travelled to play Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.
Morley also had a smoke flare with him in the ground, according to court records.
He was ordered to pay the court a sum of money too, which included a fine, £85 in costs, and a surcharge of £64 to fund victim services.
