Rain showers did not stop thousands of people from heading to Porthleven Food Festival on Saturday for what is traditionally the busiest day of the three-day event.
Saturday got underway with music from Porthleven Town Band, who paraded through the port to the Harbour Head.
Getting the cooking started at 11am were Jude Kereama of Porthleven’s Kota and Kota Kai, and Tom Brown of Pearly Queen and Cornerstone.
Also showing putting their skills on display through Saturday were Mick Smith of Porthminster Beach Café, Stephane Delourme of Stephane Delourme Gastronomic Adventures and Ed Hughs of Sharps Brewery in a three-way demonstration, followed by Andrew Tuck of Harbour House Flushing, Paul Foster of Salt, Olivia Barry of Adelina Yard with Elly Wentworth of Angel in Dartmouth, and finally Ben Palmer of Yamas and the Sardine Factory.
Ann’s Pasties hosted pasty workshops for children and pasty making demonstrations, while there was live music in both The Shipyard Diners’ Club and on The Lime Kiln Stage.
There was no chance of going hungry, with the port filled with food vans offering every type of global cuisine, both savoury and sweet, while all alongside the harbour were various stalls selling food and crafts.

Still to look forward to on Sunday are breakfast pasties and Bloody Marys at Ann’s Pasties, with more stalls and food trucks.
On stage in the Chefs Theatre a Penwith College and Hylton Espey of Culture joint demonstration at 11am, Tim Kendall of the Barley Sheaf and The Rising Sun at 11.45am, Chris Eden of Gidleigh Park at 12.30pm, Josh Eggleton of The Pony Chew Valley at 1.15pm and Jack Stein of the Rick Stein Group at 2pm.
This will be followed by a Comedy Roast from 3.45pm, featuring Cornish comedian Johnny Cowling and friends, who will deliver the laughs while chef Rupert Cooper services up roast chuck steak with all the trimmings. Tickets must be pre-booked.
From 7.30pm there will be Open Mic With Spencer, featuring Jacob Stanley, Stephen Kempe, Aaron Fyfe, Flight 42, Jo Giddens Blues Explosion and finally BabyBrew and Guests.
On the Lime Kiln Stage will be Holly Turton, Dalla Duo, Joe Francis, Will Keating, True Foxes and Press Gang, while The Shipyard Diners Club hosts The Sam O’Shanty Puppet Show from 11am to 1pm, followed by DJ Paull at 4pm, Katrin Connolly & Tomfromhelston at 6pm and The Nigel Pengelly Roadshow at 8pm.
Parking
All parking, other than premium parking (pre-booked as part of the Ultimate & Gourmet Weekend Tickets) and Blue Badge, is at Methleigh Farm and costs £10 per car. This includes a free park and ride service into the centre of Porthleven.
People are asked not to drive into the village as road closures will be in place for safety.

Family Festival
Under 18s must accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. Under 18s will not be granted access to ticketed content unless accompanied by an adult.
