A MAN has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent after a pedestrian suffered serious injured in a crash in Andover. 

Police were called by paramedics at 7.24pm on Tuesday, April 30, to a report of a crash between a car and a pedestrian in Picket Twenty Way.

The pedestrian, a man in his 30s, sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital. He has since been discharged.

Officers stopped a vehicle in Weyhill Road shortly after this incident and a man was arrested.

Jonathen Cutts, 38, of Stanbury Road, Thruxton, has now been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent, failing to stop and driving a motor vehicle dangerously.

He appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, May 2 and was remanded to appear at Winchester Crown Court on Wednesday, June 5.
