Celebrations have been in full swing at Falmouth Court Care Home, as one of its residents reaches her 103rd birthday in style.

Falmouth Court Care Home off Dracaena Avenue has helped celebrate the landmark birthday of popular resident Beryl Corry with a specially made cake and a celebration of her life.

Beryl was born in Wales, served in the Royal Airforce in World War Two. While serving in Egypt for two years Beryl met her husband.

They lived in St Ives where Beryl was president of the local WI. Beryl has three daughters who all came to help celebrate the milestone with an afternoon tea party at Falmouth Court.

She was joined by staff, fellow residents and family to enjoy a delicious cake made by Chef, Richard Sutton.
