This year, the festival has programmed a diverse mix of events.

As well as stand up performances from the likes of Nabil Abdulrashid, Chistopher Hall, Olga Koch and Chloe Petts, highlights of the festival include a film screening of Harry Hill's ‘The Last Caveman’ followed by a live Zoom Q+A with Harry; a live podcast recording of GhostHuns - the popular ghost story podcast from comedians Hannah Byczkowski (Winner of The Traitors, 2022) and Suzie Preece (Finalist, Leicester Square New Comedian of the Year) and a Cornish comedy showcase, ‘The Court of Kernow’ hosted by Ed Rowe, otherwise known as The Kernow King.

The festival has also revealed its closing night headliner, none other than Jessica Fostekew. Jessica (regular co-host of The Guilty Feminist podcast and star and writer of BBC Radio 4’s Sturdy Girl Club) will bring her new show Mettle to Solskinn - The Church on Sunday, July 7.

Johanna Tate (Co-Director of The Falmouth Cringe) said: "The Falmouth Cringe 2024 is our biggest festival to date. We’ve added seven more slots and one new venue to our festival this year because - as well as bringing top quality comedians across the Tamar to Cornwall, we want to fill a gap for talent to be discovered, nurtured and celebrated here in Cornwall.

"That’s why we’re programming lots of Cornish acts and events this year including a Cornish comedy showcase hosted by The Kernow King at our new festival venue, Fives Cyderhouse, on Sunday, July 7."
