Customers of a popular mobile meat sales business have shared their sadness after apparently announcing its closure.

The Meat Sales Cornwall has seemingly announced its permanent closure on Facebook.

The business updated its profile picture and cover image with the words "Business is permanently closed."

Information on the page has also been changed to state: "Due to unforeseen circumstances this business is now closed permanently."

The news has left many people shocked and saddened by the news of the closure, which has come without warning.

One person said: "Oh no, sorry to hear that. We would go to Pool Market once a month to top the freezer up. Hubby loved your sausages and burgers!"

Another commented: "So sorry to hear this, absolutely gutting news. You guys have been great over the years. Your business and you guys will be very sadly missed. I hope you guys will all be OK."

Other customers thanked the business for its produce. One person said: "I am so sorry to read this, Dave. The Meat Sales Cornwall was the best place to go. You've been filling my freezer for years. I hope you're all OK, so gutting for you. Thanks for all your help over the years."

The mobile meat business has been based at Pool Market for many years and proved popular with members of the public who purchased their meat for the week.

It also served other locations in Cornwall, including Truro and Penryn.

However, for reasons unknown, it has now closed.

The business, previously known as the Meat Machine Cornwall, was once part of the Bristol Meat Machine franchise but was taken over a year and a half ago. The Bristol Meat Machine continues to trade.

The Packet has contacted the owner of The Meat Sales Cornwall, but they do not wish to comment at this time.
