Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a report of assault in Penzance in the early hours of this morning (Sunday).
Officers were called by the ambulance service to a report of an assault in Market Place, Penzance, at around 3.40am today, Sunday, June 16.
A local man in his 20s was taken to hospital after sustaining serious head injuries, police have said.
A police cordon remained in place at the scene this morning while officers carried out inquiries.
