Two people have been arrested after a man sustained a stab wound in Cornwall.
Police were called to Central Square in Newquay, at 11.10pm on Saturday (July 6) following a report that a fight had occurred and that a man had sustained a stab wound.
The man was taken to the hospital for treatment but was later discharged.
Two people were arrested following the incident but have now been released on police bail until October 3, 2024.
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: “Police attended an incident in Central Square, Newquay, at 11.10pm on Saturday, where it was reported that a fight had occurred and that a man had sustained a stab wound.
“The victim, a 20-year-old man, was taken to hospital for treatment and later discharged.”
“A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of Section 18 causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
“A 22-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker. They have both been released on police bail until 3 October.”
