Officers are appealing for the public’s help to locate two men following a serious assault which left two people seriously injured in Truro on Saturday.
As the Packet reported this week, emergency services responded to a report of two people having surrendered stab wounds on St Austell Street, Truro shortly before 5pm on Saturday, August 17.
A 31-year-old woman and a 42-year-old man were taken to the hospital with serious injuries; however, it has been revealed that the injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
A 42-year-old man from Truro was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm without intent. He has since been released on police bail.
Now, the police are keen to identify two men who may be able to help in connection with the assault investigations.
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: “Police are appealing for help identifying these men in connection with a serious assault which took place on St Austell Street, Truro, shortly before 5pm on Saturday 17 August.
"Emergency services responded to a report of two people having suffered stab wounds in the street.
"A 31-year-old woman and a 42-year-old man were taken to hospital with serious injuries. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
"A 42-year-old man from Truro has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm without intent. He has since been released on police bail.
"Investigating officers are keen to identify the two men pictured, as it is believed they may be able to help with enquiries.
