Camborne has hosted Cornwall's strongest men and women.
Tyacks Hotel was the backdrop for the day-long Cornwall's Most Powerful event, where competitors took on five challenges.
These included lifting metal logs, carrying heavy objects, dragging sleds, transporting kegs, and lifting stones.
Organised by strongman Martin Foster, the event raised over £500 for the Huntington’s Disease Association and Marie Curie.
Mr Foster said: "It was great to have the support of a large crowd who, despite the rain, made lots of noise to cheer on the athletes – especially in the fifth and final event."
He thanked referees David Williams and Kieron Evans, sponsors, and the Cornwall Rewind radio team for their support.
Hannah Beard won the women’s title, Jake Speller the Men’s Intermediate, and Conner Bagley the Men’s Novice.
Anna Pascoe, BID Camborne manager, said: "We’re really pleased that Camborne was chosen as the venue and that lots of people came.
"The Tyacks Hotel put on an outside bar, money was raised for two excellent charities and there was a sense of watching something extraordinary.
"The competitors were amazing."
The event was the first of its kind in Cornwall since 2022.
It was sponsored by several businesses including Evans & Son Electrical, FMW Construction, Zoar Tyres, SJ Andrews, Atlas Stone, Newman Scaffolding, The Muscle Machine Gym, Pasties & Pull-Ups, and Websters Bespoke Embroidery & Print.
Plans are already underway for the next competition in December.
