Police have successfully located a man they were seeking in connection with an assault that happened during this year's Sea Shanty Festival in Falmouth.

The incident, which took place on Saturday, June 15 at around 1.15pm, involved a man allegedly being kicked while on the ground after being shoulder barged near Event Square in Grove Place.

On July 26, police released a photo of the suspect, who was wearing a red bandana over part of his face, appealing for the public’s help to identify him.

Now, exactly a month after the appeal, the police have now revealed that they have located the man.

In a statement shared today (Monday, August 26) Devon and Cornwall Police said: “Police have identified a man they wish to speak to in connection with an assault in Falmouth on 15 June.

“It follows a photo appeal issued by the force on 26 July.

“Officers would like to thank members of the public for sharing the appeal.”
