Police have explained why a number of officers were seen in Helston town centre on Thursday.
There were reports on social media that several officers were seen on Meneage Street at around 4.15pm.
The police have now explained why officers were called.
A Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson said: “Helston police were called to Meneage Street on Thursday, August 29th at 4:15pm following a report of a man making threats.
“Officers responded promptly and conducted a thorough search of the area. A man in his 20s was located nearby and subsequently spoken to by officers.
“After a thorough investigation, no offences were identified. The police are not releasing further details at this time.”
