A charity dinner to celebrate Cornish food and drink is coming to a luxury hotel in Cornwall for the very first time.
The Great Coast-to-Coast Charity Dinner will be held at The Alverton in Truro, in aid of Hospitality Action, this November.
The charity helps those who have worked in the hospitality industry and are facing financial, physical, or mental difficulties.
On the evening of Thursday, November 7, the hotel will playh host some of Cornwall's leading chefs, who will take over the hotel's kitchen, including stars from BBC Two's Great British Menu.
These chefs include Jude Kereama from Kota and Kota Kai, Ben Palmer from The Sardine Factory, Guy Owen from St Enodoc, 2018's South West Chef of the Year Tim Kendall, and The Alverton's executive chef Nick Hodges.
They will prepare a five-course menu, highlighting the best seafood, grass-fed meats, and produce from across the Duchy.
This will be served in the hotel's historic Great Hall, which dates back to 1830.
Ben Young, managing director of The Alverton, said: "Since 1837, Hospitality Action has delivered vital assistance to all those in the hospitality industry within the UK, so naturally the charity is rather close to our hearts.
"With such fantastic local talent at the helm, and some incredible Cornish produce at our fingertips, we couldn’t imagine a better way to celebrate and support the work of this wonderful cause."
Tickets cost £90 each, with all proceeds going to Hospitality Action.
Ticket holders will also receive a 10 per cent discount on overnight stays at The Alverton.

The Great Coast-to-Coast Charity Dinner is an event that combines culinary excellence with a noble cause, making it a unique experience for attendees while providing crucial support to those in need within the hospitality sector.
