Hall for Cornwall line-up of 25 new shows revealed

To delight theatre enthusiasts, the programme includes a range of performances from musical theatre, drama, comedy, and general entertainment to stunning dance performances, family shows, and live music.

Amongst the star attractions is the acclaimed musical Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, the comeback of the Rambert dance company, and the next instalment in the Agatha Christie series by director Lucy Bailey, The Hollow.

Added to this, music enthusiasts can look forward to live performances from celebrated artists Alison Moyet and Tony Hadley.

Comedy lovers won’t be left out, with an impressive line-up including Sam Campbell, Alan Davies, Nish Kumar, and Dylan Moran, all bringing their stand-up shows to the stage.

These recently unveiled shows will feature as part of an engaging season at the city centre venue, which has been extensively transformed and reopened in 2021.

Others include the live vocal drag spectacular, Queenz: Battle of the Divas.

This smash-hit show from the creators of Drag Me to the Disco and The Show With Balls! promises a night full of glitz, glamour, and fierce competition.

Further treats include Simon Beaufoy’s feel-good play The Full Monty and Sing-a-long-a The Greatest Showman, offering audiences a chance to join in the fun.

Family audiences will be pleased to see Tom Gates EPIC Stage Show on the roster - a captivating spectacle bringing to life the best of the world-renowned Tom Gates book series.

Dance fans have plenty to look forward to as well, with a varied selection of productions featuring St Austell's award-winning 4Real Dance Company, the Big Dance Company's Cornish dancers, and an original production titled Thinkers and Dreamers by the Cornwall Dance School.

The highly anticipated return of the Rambert dance company marks another significant highlight.

This two-night performance promises a triple bill of high-impact works from artists with something urgent to say.

Live music enthusiasts have their pick of the bunch with a line-up spanning from Cornwall My Home: Will Keating & Special Guests to tributes to iconic artists like Whitney Houston, Simon & Garfunkel, and Michael Jackson.

The iconic Alison Moyet and Tony Hadley are also set to serenade audiences at the Truro-based theatre.

The playhouse, nestled in Cornwall's only city, continues to serve as a beacon of diverse culture, welcoming a slew of touring shows from the West End and Broadway, stand-up comedians, live music, and much more.

The Hall for Cornwall operates as a charity, with its surplus directed towards working with young people, enhancing the reach of Cornish creative industries, and creating productions in tandem with Cornish and national partners.

The venue stands as a testament to a successful, transformative multi-million-pound project, a joint venture funded by a medley of organisations, including Arts Council England, Cornwall Council, the European Regional Development Fund, the Heritage Lottery Fund, HM Treasury, and the Culture Recovery Fund, among others.
