Cornwall Council plans new speed limits for main residential areas.
Cornwall Council has announced plans to implement new 20mph speed limits in main residential areas across the Caradon Community Network Area (CNA).
These changes are part of a series of new traffic orders consolidating and amending existing speed limits.
The areas include Bray Shop, Callington and Kelly Bray, Calstock, Chilsworthy, Latchley and Coxpark, Golberdon, Harrowbarrow, Metherell and Norris Green, Minions, Pensilva, Rilla Mill, St Ann's Chapel, Albaston, Drakewalls and Gunnislake, St Dominick, St Mellion, and Upton Cross.
Buffer zones will also be introduced where necessary.
The changes come under a series of orders.
These are aimed at increasing safety within the residential areas across these regions.
The roads impacted each range across different speed limits.
From standard 20mph areas to stretches that 30mph, 40mph, or national speed limits.
Residents can view detailed maps of the proposed changes at the New County Hall in Truro, or online at 'Let’s Talk Cornwall.'
The plans are open for public inspection during normal office hours.
Those affected by the proposed changes can send in comments of support or objections.
These must be made in writing.
Objections must specify the grounds on which they are made.

The window for sending in objections closes on 8 May 2026.
