Falmouth is set to burst into colour this weekend as Cornwall Pride returns to the town, bringing with it music, celebration and what organisers say is the world’s largest Pride flag.
The annual parade will take place on Saturday, April 25, with participants gathering on The Moor from 11.45am ahead of a 12 noon start.
The march will make its way through the town centre, finishing at Events Square outside the National Maritime Museum Cornwall.
Volunteer marshals will line the route along Webber Street, Market Strand, Market Street, Church Street, Arwenack Street, Bank Place, Grove Place and Cambeltown Way. The procession is expected to take around 30 minutes.
Organisers say the event will be “lively but good fun”, with music and celebration throughout as people come together to show support for LGBTQ+ communities in Falmouth, across Cornwall and beyond.
Members of the public are welcome to join the march on foot on the day. Anyone wishing to take part with a vehicle is asked to contact organisers in advance.

Cornwall Pride marshals and police officers will be on hand throughout to ensure the event remains safe, peaceful and enjoyable for all.
Participants are being encouraged to embrace the spirit of Pride by wearing colourful clothing, waving flags or adding face paint, with organisers noting that everyone is welcome to express themselves in a way that feels comfortable.
A number of local organisations are also expected to take part, marching together in a show of solidarity and support.
Organisers added that Pride in Falmouth is intended to be a safe and inclusive space for all, with a strong emphasis on visibility, celebration and community.
