People in Porthleven have been left amused after someone “borrowed” part of the Porthleven Food Festival Love Food sign and took it for a wander down to the beach.

The large white LOVE letters - a popular photo spot throughout the weekend - were spotted sitting proudly on the beach front wall after being removed from the official installation on the harbour head.

Photos shared locally show the letters looking surprisingly at home by the sea, with several people commenting that it “looks really good there” and “looks ace there”.

It’s not yet clear who moved the letters or when they’ll be returned to their rightful place, but the playful relocation has already sparked jokes online.

Some locals are now asking the obvious follow‑up: “when will someone add “ALRIGHT MY” above it and stick an “R” on the end to make it properly Cornish?|"

The Packet has contacted Porthleven Food Festival organisers for a comment.
