A climate charity hopes to open a zero-waste shop and community hub in Cornwall.
Another Way has launched a new project to bring an eco-friendly shop and climate hub to Falmouth, with a four-week crowdfunding campaign and a target of £40,000.
Amy Bray, founder of Another Way, said: "I believe that the residents of Falmouth deserve a way to eat healthy, sustainable, delicious food without creating plastic waste that ends up in the ocean.
"We know that plastic pollution is a huge problem – and one that our community is especially switched on to, as we all rely on the sea for our wellbeing, livelihoods and are impacted by its health in countless ways.
"A zero-waste shop in the heart of our town would enable residents to act on that concern – and that is why we are so excited to have the opportunity to establish this."
The proposed shop, named Another Weigh Falmouth, would offer ethical, affordable options with minimal waste.
It would also serve as a climate-conscious community hub with events and workshops focused on sustainability, wellbeing, and connection.
Plans include pop-up swap shops, repair cafés, evening talks, workshops and climate events, a co-working zone, and a hot drinks station.
The hub would also offer space hire for community groups and clubs.
Amy said: "I can already envisage the thriving, community hub that will become central to our town, and the impact this will have on helping people to live more sustainably, meet others doing the same, and learn about our planet.
"The profits from the shop will go into our charity – supporting young people to take climate and nature action.
"I hope that the community will help us make our dream a reality by supporting our ambitious crowdfunder."
All donations to the crowdfunder will be match-funded.

Once up and running, every purchase will help fund Another Way’s mission to empower people to live with kindness towards our planet.
Amy Bray founded Another Way in 2019 when she was just 16.
Since then, it has grown into a nationwide, youth-led environmental education charity dedicated to empowering individuals to live compassionately towards our planet.
